Golf carts are the preferred way to get around Green Turtle Cay. The island is small — roughly three miles long — with one main road connecting New Plymouth, White Sound, the beaches, and your garden path down to Coco Bay. Most rental companies will deliver a cart right to Lo Key Cottages or meet you at the ferry dock when you arrive.
Book ahead, especially in peak season. Rates, availability, and policies change, so confirm directly with the company. Remember: in the Bahamas we drive on the left.

Reserve as soon as your cottage dates are confirmed — carts book up, especially December–April and summer holidays.
Most companies deliver to Lo Key Cottages or meet you at the ferry. Let them know your arrival details.
Drive on the left. Roads are narrow; watch for pedestrians and sharp curves.
Valid driver’s license required. Minimum age is typically 18 or 21 depending on the company (insurance may require 25+).
Most carts are gas-powered. Return them with a full tank unless otherwise arranged.
Rates vary; expect roughly $50–$80 per day depending on season, cart size, and length of rental. Confirm current pricing when you book.
